Ever wonder about things that just don’t make sense? I do. One of the things that makes no sense at the moment is this; Why all the back and forth in the paper and at local Republican Party meetings concerning the party’s bank statements? More importantly, why the refusal of the Chair and Treasurer to open up the Republican Party’s books. After all, the Chair of the Party has called for ‘full transparency.”

Forgiving these debts after their affliction is only a short-term bandaide measure which ignores the cause of the wound and does nothing to prevent the bleeding at its source. Why should public financing (barebones) of schools through the secondary level be an acceptable arrangement (though currently under duress from the privateers of the education business), yet for vocational school and college, everybody is on their own?

Was there some dispute over a conjectured replacement of some recalcitrant chairpersons with others deemed to be more compliant with certain present BCR bylaws? Should the public be allowed to see what those bylaws are, that some seem to find objectionable?

Read moreI find it curious that Texas Republicans, who used to advocate serious law enforcement, now are complaining about our federal law enforcement agencies for enforcing the law against Donald Trump, for illegally retaining government documents when he left the White House. I guess the law is only supposed to be enforced against people they don’t like, such as immigrants and pregnant women. Or against Joe Biden, if he decides to keep similar documents when he leaves office. Hypocrisy much?
