FROM PRECINCT 306 CHAIR

To All Republican Voters in Precinct 306, As your elected precinct chair, I feel a responsibility to address what happened at the last two Republican party meetings.

I was deeply disturbed by the actions of my colleagues who chose to utilize law enforcement to remove fellow Republicans from our Medina meeting. Then, a month later, these same colleagues refused entry to one of our longest serving Medina Republicans, Perry Lane. I f you know Perry well, then you are aware that she and her husband Dick are long and faithful serving Republicans. In fact, Dick served as Precinct 306 Chair several years ago. They are the salt of the earth and are exactly the kind of people I am proud to represent. Please know the recent words and actions of some of my colleagues are not shared by me.

President Ronald Reagan once said, “The person who agrees with me 80 percent of the time is a friend and an allynot a 20 percent traitor.”

If you are a Republican in Precinct 306, you should be welcome at any and all Republican meetings. If you are a Democrat or Independent who may be looking to change partiesyou should also be welcome.

My goal has always been to grow the party and to make sure every Republican in our precinct votes. Please know, despite what some of my colleagues do or say, I, personally, am still committed to this goal.
