Coffee spot hosts new car meetup
Average Joe Coffee, a popular local Bandera County business located at 101 Center Street and FM 1283 hosted their first ever “Cars & Coffee” event, which attracted classic car enthusiasts as well as some super-hot racing boats to this new community event.
Thirty-seven classic cars, trucks and boats were attracted to the free neighborhood meet-up hosted by Annie Schultz, who owns Average Joe Coffee.
“I wanted to show my appreciation to all my local Bandera County and Lakehills neighbors for their support over the last year as we have grown very popular here in Lakehills,” said Annie.
Schultz continued, “In days past, neighbors used to cross lawns to visit with each other over coffee on the patio, at the kitchen table, wherever good conversation could be found, it was often found with a good cup of coffee and great people.”
She said coffee is a friendly focal point in a neighborhood and something she wanted to bring to Bandera County.
“I wanted some of our incredible and supportive neighbors to just walk and talk among the great cars, get to know each other, shake hands, all in a relaxed social environment,” she said. “The classic cars took us back to a place and a time where we could just enjoy each other’s company and have a friendly chat. We should value that as a neighborhood family. That small-town country feel is what we value most in this area and we are hoping to foster that here at Average Joe” Average Joe Coffee is open weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
It is also open the second Saturday of the month to coincide with the Lakehills Farmers Market.
