Hi – I’m David Speicher and I’m running for Bandera County Commissioner Precinct 2.
The election is right around the corner with early voting February 14th through February 23rd. For the last 6 months I have been visiting with our residents throughout Precinct 2 and learning a lot. I am honored and astonished at the support I have received. Thank you all so much!!
For those I have not met yet, I hope to see you soon at the various meet the candidate forums being conducted. If you cannot make the forums, I would be happy to visit with you as well. In the meantime… Here is a little about me.
I have been a resident for over 2 ½ years and plan to retire in Lakehills. I am a Civil Engineer with over 29 years’ experience and 9 years’ experience as a City Councilman/Mayor Pro Tem. I am a Gulf War Veteran, a Lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Lakehills American Legion Post 410. I am married to Dr. Michelle Speicher and has three amazing adult children: Kevin, Rhianna and Thomas.
Simply put - For Precinct 2, I will focus on our roads, local trash dump services as well as bringing back our recycling services, and push for a more robust law enforcement presence in our area. County wide, I will utilize my experiences to help develop ordinances that protect our citizens' infrastructure, environment and our charm from the massive developments spreading into Bandera County today.

• Captain in the US Army – 4 years
