Group cleaning roads Saturday
Efforts from Don’t Mess With Bandera (DMWB) continue this Saturday with a highway cleanup, and organizers are asking for volunteers to assist.
The group will meet Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. at the front entrance to Bridlegate located at the intersection of Bottles Springs Rd. and Rodeo Rd.
Cleanup will take place from Hwy 173 down Bottle Springs Rd, up Rodeo Rd and then back to Hwy 173.
“Last year we picked up around 85 bags and assorted items,” said DMWB board member Mike Stiborik. “The roads are pretty dirty, so we really need your help.”
Volunteers are asked to wear bright clothing, gloves, trash pickers and ATVs if possible. Other items will be provided.
RSVP to Mike at 713922-7976 or mike@recoverpartner911. com “I look forward to seeing you and mike this a large cleaning success just as it was last year. Without you, this can’t take place. Your help is appreciated ahead of time,” said Striboik.
Segments of state highways are currently available for adoption by businesses and individuals. More information is available through TXDoT.
