New City Marshal will be sworn in May 2
Nancy De Foster will be officially sworn in as the Bandera City Marshal at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, before the regularly scheduled city council meeting.
"The City of Bandera and the Bandera Marshal’s Office would like to congratulate Marshal Nancy DeFoster on passing her TCOLE test and becoming a Commissioned Master Peace Officer in the State of Texas," read a statement from the city. "The official swearing-in will take place prior to the City Council meeting tomorrow at 5:45 p.m."
The ceremony and following city council meeting will take place at Bandera City Hall, located at 511 Main Street, 78003.
De Foster spent 26 years as a Police Sergeant with the Honolulu Police Department, departing in November 2019. She also has experience as an actor and voice over artist.
“I am so honored and humbled to have been chosen for this position. I am so grateful to have been provided this opportunity to truly give back to the community we all love," De Foster told the Bulletin following her selection by city council last March.
