Skeletal remains found in missing woman’s neighborhood

Skeletal remains were discovered Sept. 6 in the neighborhood of Norma Espinoza, who was reported missing last month by her daughter.

Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King said the department is awaiting positive identification of the remains following an autopsy, but identifiable information including a cane and clothing belonging to Espinoza was found with the remains. He added the remains were discovered by a neighbor in their Bandera Ranch acres subdivision. 

“It doesn’t look like there was any foul play involved, but we will wait to see what the autopsy says,” he said.

The autopsy will be performed by Central Texas, which is located in Lockhart. 

Espinoza, 63, was last seen in her home on Broad Oak Drive in Bandera.

King said the department is continuing to investigate Sean Duffy’s disappearance and found remains as a homicide.

The disappearance of 25-year-old Jordan Tompkins is also under continued investigation. She was last seen on PR 37 in Lakehills. She is 5’3” and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She has brown eyes, dark-blonde hair and tattoos.
