Stepping Back Until After the Election
As Bandera County voters get ready to make a very important choice, this edition of the paper will be opinion-free.
By this time next week, our front page will have the results for the Texas Primary Election, including results for County Judge, Justice of the Peace and County Commissioner. The results for those aforementioned three positions will be the final results for those races, as all candidates ran on the Republican ticket without opposition from the Democrat party.
All elections are important and will have tangible impacts for years to come, and this year is no exception to this. In light of this, the Bandera Bulletin is stepping back from publishing our opinion page until after the election concludes to ensure we remain journalistically balanced. We feel our discourse on the election through our opinion page has covered all the bases.
Copies of our candidate Q&A are available in the February 9 version of the paper, and we’d be happy to provide anyone with copies of that paper. Until then, we respectfully are refraining from adding to the discourse.
We value and pride ourselves in the dialogue that our opinion page allows our readers and community, and we will return next week with letters, columns and cartoons. I look forward to publishing what has already been submitted and am eager to see what else is on your mind.
See you then. Same Bat Time. Same Bat Channel.
