Brenda Stanton Reich was born on June 15, 1942,
in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-inlaw, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Brenda moved to Brady, Texas, to be closer to family, and then later to San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Highlands High School in 1960. May 22, 1960, she married Ernest C. Reich, III, at Grace Lutheran Church in San Antonio. They had one child, William E. Reich. Brenda and Ernest began their careers in Electronics, and opened their own electronics manufacturing business in 1972, Reich Associates, in their garage. Later they opened a shop in Plano, Texas.
While living in Plano, Brenda and Ernest became reserve police officers, working for Collin County Sheriff’s department. In 1983 Brenda and Ernest moved to Lakehills, Texas, and opened a second location for Reich Associates, on Park Road 37. Brenda and E.C. began working for Bandera County Sheriff’s Department, Brenda, as a reserve Constable.
Eventually Brenda earned a Special Skills certification in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). She worked as an EMT for 12 years. Brenda also was instrumental in forming the Lakehills Area Library.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ernest C. Reich, III, her son, William E. Reich and wife, Sharon, their three children, “Justin” William Ernest Reich, II, and wife Pamela, Emily Nichole Reich Burnett and husband, and Hannah Elizabeth Reich, and three great-grandchildren.
Brenda’s interests beyond her family and friends, were work and volunteering, and included her love for her dogs, cats, horses, reading, gardening, traveling to visit friends, and her koi pond.
Brenda was blessed to have many lifetime friends, going back to her high school days and even before. Her love for literacy lead to her involvement in being one of the founding members of the Lakehills Area Library, where she was awarded Board Member Emeritus.
Services will be held on December 4, 2022, at Lakehills United Methodist Church at 1pm with burial to follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lakehills Area Library or the Lakehills EMS Department to honor two of Brenda’s greatest passions.
