LAVERNE “DOLLY” LOEF DRESSER
LaVerne “Dolly” Loef Dresser, wife of Ralph Dresser, Col. USAF Retired, passed away Sunday, 6th of June, 2021, at 88 years old.
Dolly is survived by her husband of 69 years in marriage plus four years of friendship/engagement, and her four daughters, Susan Kaneer, Sharon Dresser, Sandra Cooper and Terri Skinner. She also has three granddaughters, Wendy Skinner, Mallory Skinner and Morgan Cooper.
Dolly was born in San Antonio, Texas, on the 24th of July, 1932, to Tom and Mary Loef.
Dolly’s passing was preceded by her parents; brother, Thomas Loef; sister, Lois Degen; and infant son, Michael Wayne (1954).
Dolly attended school at St. Mary’s Downtown and graduated in 1950. She became an outstanding Air Force wife on the 2nd of August, 1952, with her two priest cousins officiating.
She had a wonderful talent for making others feel welcomed and important. She was a wonderful listener who always wanted to get to know others and hear their stories. Dolly was a very outgoing person who made lasting friends easily. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
