VICTOR LAMAR KELLEY
Victor Lamar Kelley, age 94 years, 10 months and 17 days, passed away on July 22nd, 2021, at Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, Texas.
Victor is survived by his wife, JoEllen Smith Kelley of Utopia, Texas. His Daughter, Lynette Kelley Evans of Dime Box, Texas and Lamar Samuel Kelley (Tammye) of Boerne, Texas. Step children, Deborah Smith Atkins (Mike) of Franklin, Tennessee, MerriJo Smith Johnson, Richard Smith (Margaret) of Canyon Lake, Texas and Jenny Smith Callison (Curtis) of Freeport Florida.
Brother, Linden Kelley and three nephews of Medina, Texas.
Grandchildren, Jeff Clawson (Ashley), David Clawson of Georgetown, Texas, Hunter Atkins (Allison), Tanner Atkins of Franklin, Tennessee. Kalib Batdorf of Canyon Lake, Texas and Jordan Batdorf of San Antonio, Texas. Raven Spencer of Canyon Lake, Texas. Autumn Spencer, Lance Callison of San Antonio, Texas. Six Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Allene Triggo Kelley. Parents, O.H. and Clara Kelley of Medina, Texas. Brother Olin Kelley and sister, Eva Dene Kelley Murphy.
Victor was born on September 5th, 1926, in Medina, Texas to parents, O.H. and Clara Kelley. He was the youngest in the family. After graduating, he joined the Air Force and served in the Philippines during World War II. He worked for Permian Corporation for more than 30 years and retired in 1989. Kelley was a great family man and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Utopia Baptist Church, where he was very active in the men’s Sunday school class, music program and choir, AWANA Program and Bible memory club. He also was an active member of the Gideons.
Victor will be missed tremendously by all who were blessed to know him.
Memorial Service was held at Utopia Baptist Church, Utopia, Texas on Thursday, July 29, at 11:00 a.m.
