Medina releases baseball schedule

The Medina Bobcats released their schedule for the 2022 season on Monday, which begins January 21 and concludes April 28 before heading into playoffs.

The first game of the season will be Friday, January 24, at 3:50 p.m in Medina. The opponent was not released at the time of the Bulletin’s press deadline.

A tournament will be held on February 25 and 26 in Medina, the times for which were not released by the Bulletin’s press deadline.

The Bobcats will then face New Braunfels Christian at home at 4 p.m. before traveling to Center Point for a 5 p.m. game.

The team returns home to face Junction on March 8, with the time for that game yet to be determined.

A double header against Leakey and takes place at Utopia on March 11 at 11 a.m.

The team then travels to Comfort for a 6 p.m. game on March 22, followed by a game at Menard on March 25 at 4 p.m.

On April 1, the team faces Leakey in Medina, with their opponent being the home team for that game. That game will begin at 4 p.m.

The Bobcats then host Menard on April 5 beofre hosting Leakey on April

18. Both those games are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

On April 22, the team travels to face Menard at 4 p.m. before returning home to face Leakey, once again the home team, in Medina on April 28 at 4 p.m.

The bi-district deadline is May 7. The regional quarterfinal deadline is May 14. The regional semi-final deadline is May 21. The regional playoff deadline is May 28.

This year’s state tournament twill be held June 8-11.
