Western swing “living legend” Larry Nolen, who had a long history entertaining crowds in Bandera, passed away on March 25, his family said.
He was 87.
“Larry had hip replacement about 16 months ago, and we moved him to an assisted living facility,” said Nolen’s widow Dixie Lindsey. “We visited him about a month ago, and he just went down fast.”
She said a memorial for Larry Nolen will be held at the couple’s Pipe Creek ranch when COVID-19 is no longer a threat to a large group of people.
