The Schreiner University Nursing Program hosted its first White Coat Ceremony, a rite of passage to emphasize the importance of compassionate patient care at the start of training, at Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville on Thursday, Aug. 13, nursing program officials said in a news release. Ten new nursing students recited an oath to patient care during the ceremony.
