The Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District will hold a public hearing on its proposed tax rate for the upcoming year, a rate this would grow by almost 6.5 percent if approved as is, on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the district’s headquarters, 440 FM 3240 in Bandera.
The river authority board has proposed a tax rate of 4.4893 cents per $100 valuation for the year that starts Oct. 1, which is a little more than a quarter-of-a-cent increase from the current rate of 4.2165 cents per $100 valuation.
