The Kerrville area affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will sponsor a series of free “how-to” classes for parents, guardians and caregivers who provide care for adolescents and children experiencing mental health symptoms or illness, a news release from the alliance said.
Taught by two trained NAMI members, the six-session program is called Basics. There is no fee to attend the classes, and the class size is limited to 12 people.
