The Medina Faith and Freedom Club hosted its monthly meeting at the Rodney Camp Pavilion at the Medina Community Library last month.First up on the program was the ancestor of one of the 16 families that settled Bandera County. Roy Dugosh, a noted resident, and former chairman of the Bandera County Historical Commission spoke about the history of Bandera, remarking settled in the mid-1800’s coming from Silesia.Dugosh spoke about the impact of the Great Western Trail, citing ten million longhorn cattle and thirty-thousand cowboys passed through Bandera on their voyage north to the rail heads.
