The Medina FFA Leadership Development Event, or LDE, teams traveled to Hondo on Nov. 13 to compete in the Revaldina District LDE contest.
Medina FFA members had a great night and came away with several banners.
Cydney Newsom competed in the Greenhand Creed Speaking Contest and placed first.
That qualified her to go to the FFA Area 7 contest on Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Blanco, where she finished in eighth place.
At the Nov. 13 event, Cydney Newsom also competed in the Public Relations contest along with fellow eighth grade students Kytlin Peterson and Tori Taccetta and placed fifth.
