The Bandera County Commissioners voted during their June 8 meeting to place requests for COVID-19 Local Fiscal Recovery Funds on a moratorium until further notice.Per the latest report from the county auditor’s office, a total of $4,489,235 was initially received from the U.S. Treasury Department, of which $3,476,804 has been authorized to both county departments and non-county government organizations.The remaining balance to authorize is $1,012,431. The county has until December 2024 to approve spending and until 2026 to spend it.County Auditor Daryl Sadler suggested a proposed cost of over one-million dollars to fix the county’s “aging and inept” radio system,
