Biologist speaking at RLAT
The Ranchers and Landowners Association of Texas (RLAT) is sponsoring a presentation featuring Texas Parks and Wildlife biologist Johnny Arredondo on Saturday, June 24, from 2-4 p.m. The meeting will be held in the community room at Bandera Electric Cooperative, located at 3172 Highway 16 N in Bandera. Members and their guests are invited as well as those wishing to become members.
Arredondo, who is based in Kerrville, will discuss his role as regional biologist, the various functions and services the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department provides, the current outlook for the Hill Country area and general issues concerning wildlife management.
“In our January members meeting, this was an issue that people said they wanted to learn more about, so we are pleased to host this event and encourage anyone who has an interest in this important topic to attend,” stated Don Phillips, RLAT president.
RLAT was formed in 2002 to address the concerns of its member property owners in a rapidly changing rural environment, with a focus on property rights, law enforcement and providing cash rewards involving crimes against members’ property.
