The Bandera County Garden Club met at the Bandera Public Library on Tuesday, July 11, to hear from member Sandy Riley about garden projects with children.Riley explained about projects guaranteed to engage youngsters in gardening. She started with projects from a book called “Roots, Shoots, Buckets, and Boots” by Sharon Lovejoy.Riley spoke about creating a “lasagna garden.” This was about building a raised bed with layers of compostable materials.
