Nagel partners enable healing

Throughout the first half of 2023, the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic’s regional funding partners have played a significant role in helping to maintain the Clinic’s day-to-day operations as well as funding innovation in programming to help struggling, uninsured Bandera County families.

While 35% of the Clinic’s $700,000 annual operating budget comes from the county community, 65% is provided by sources outside of the county.

Funding partners increasing their support in 2023 are the Albert & Margaret Alkek Foundation, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, James Avery Artisan Jewelry, St. Luke’s Lutheran Health Ministries, and a new corporate partner, Texas Mutual Insurance.

Other institutional partners that have contributed this year include the Perry and Ruby Stevens Foundation, Carl & Marie Jo Anderson Foundation, Hal & Charlie Peterson Foundation, H-E-B, Isla Carroll Turner Friendship Trust, and the Dougherty Foundation.

“The Nagel Clinic receives no direct federal or state funding,” said Executive Director Chuck Lutke. “We rely each year on private funding from institutions, corporations, congregations, and individuals to maintain and grow our services. Our deep gratitude goes to all those who cherish the mission of the Clinic and support it financially.”
