As the calendar moves toward Christmas Day on Dec. 25, more than 1,000 locally grown Christmas trees are decorated and glowing in homes across Bandera County and beyond.
The trees came from the Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm that has supplied area families with their yule time centerpieces for more than two decades.
The farm’s biggest draw is that families and individuals came choose and cut down a Christmas tree of their choice - like people did ages ago.
The 10-acre Pipe Creek farm has 6,000 Christmas trees in various stages of growth, and roughly 1,000 are sold each year and sold fast.
