Sheriff Dan Butts told the Bandera County Commissioners Court Sept. 26 after delivery his monthly report that his department currently has six openings and interviewed three pepole.“Hopefully, if we can get them through the process and get them hired before somebody else does, then we may have some people to replace the ones we’ve lost,” he said. “We’ll keep working on it.”Regarding his report for August, Butts told the court the sheriff’s office had 485 calls for service and traveled 25,265 miles.Their average response time for priority calls was 12 minutes and 56 seconds.According to Butts, the department had eight ...
