With reference to the exoneration of Donald Trump - Mitt Romney, a Republican from Utah, voted to convict President D. J. Trump.
All the other Republicans voted to exonerate the president. Romney said it was a difficult decision to not vote with his party, but it was the right thing to do.
I agree with senator Romney. The legal case was pretty straight forward.
For all of the other Republicans Senators, voting for acquittal, I suspect, was an easy decision. The Republican senators like their jobs and want to keep them.
