The Medina Community Library’s story time last month featured goats on and off the page. Ms. Rosa read “G is for Goats,” and then then Ms. Alison led the children and their parents outside to visit Mr. Dale Naumann's three baby angora goats. The children and their families not only got to pet the goats, but they got to bottle feed them too. They learned also about how to care for a goat, and attendee Vivi decided she was going to be a farmer and have goats on her own farm. Courtesy Photo

Local bar and grill, Kickback Korner located on Main Street, sponsored a fundraiser to benefit the Alkek Elementary PTO on Saturday, April 30. PTO President Autumn Branscome reported that the barbeque dinner made $11,340 to go toward the cost of a new playscape for the school.
