NO WAY THROUGH, UNDER, OVER, AROUND
The reality of the intent stated in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution could not be clearer: “No person shall ... hold any office ... under the United States ... who, having previously taken an oath ... to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same.”
On his inauguration day in 2017, Donald Trump took the oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Four years later, Trump incited an insurrection against our U.S. Government and our Constitution. Visible, gritty, recorded reality, no low or lofty theory withstanding. Following the “War between the States,” many far more worthy men were barred from holding office again, even within their own former “confederate” states – for this reason.
Under no circumstances should this discredited former President be permitted to run for this office again, to bring even more shame, disgrace, dissolution and ruin down upon our United States of America. No way.
