The Bandera County Public Library is pleased to announce the featured artist in the library’s art gallery is Native American artist Dennis Eagle Horse.
Three paintings by Eagle Horse titled “Twin Warriors,” “Re-envisioning Crazy Horse” and “Lakota” will be installed in the gallery for the next several months.
Each is for sale, and the proceeds will benefit the library.
The artist painted the mural in the office complex on 13th street across the street from the post office.
Born in 1947, Eagle Horse is Hunkpapa Lakota and was raised primarily on a reservation in South Dakota. Much of his work consists of ceremonial pieces,
