Governor Greg Abbott recently reappointed Steve Ables of Kerrville as Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region for a term set to expire four years from the date of qualification. This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation. Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region and Chairman of the Regional Presiding Judges, Ables previously served as Judge of the 216th Judicial District Court.
