During the hottest and driest part of the year, several water agencies on Monday, Aug. 26, unveiled groundbreaking upgrades that create a faster early warning flood system for the Medina River in Bandera County.
Officials noted the irony of announcing flood warning enhancements in such a dry environment, but they pointed out the hurricane season has started and the traditional fall and winter rainy season is only weeks away.
