The Bandera High School Academic Decathlon team won first place in the Super Quiz and second place overall at the Northside decathlon scrimmage held recently at the Health Careers High School in San Antonio. Bandera team members who recorded top finishes on overall scores in their divisions at the scrimmage were Riley Longobardi, who was second overall in the varsity division, and Sam Nimmrichter, who was fifth in varsity; Ethan Ellingson, who won second overall in the scholastic division, and Hannah Bates, who was fifth in the scholastic division; and Chris McKnelly, who won third overall in the honors division.
