The ban on outdoor burning in Bandera County that was imposed in August was lifted last week, but that should not be seen as a green light to start burning trash piles without any thought of weather conditions and the hazards associated with those burns, County Fire Marshal John Stith said Monday, Nov. 11.
He said the burn ban imposed in the county on Aug. 8 was removed on Friday, Nov. 8, because its 90-day term was expiring, and Stith and County Judge Richard Evans decided conditions no longer required the ban to be in place.
