The total number of COVID-19 cases in Bandera County increased by 42 on Monday but the spike mainly reflected a glitch in the state’s case reporting system and none of the new cases were listed as “active,” meaning they no longer were believed to be capable of spreading the virus, emergency management officials said.
Bandera County Emergency Management Coordinator Carey Reed said a report she received from the Texas Department of State Health Services on Monday, Sept. 21, showed the county’s total COVID-19 case count reached 162, up from 120 a day earlier.
