The Bandera High School Speech and Debate team enjoyed another successful outing at the Burnet Invitational Tournament on Jan. 18, Bandera Independent School District officials said.
Bandera’s Aidan Prater one first place at the tournament in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate, was the top speaker in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and won first place in persuasive speaking.
In addition, Bandera’s Michael Nevarez won first place in prose at the event, and Belle Hoover claimed fifth place in poetry.
Bandera High’s cross-examination debate team of Gunnar Winkler and Kelly Columbia finished in third place in a tournament that prepared cross-examination teams for the district contest last week.
