A Real County man was cited by a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) game warden for hunting dove in closed season.
According to a TPWD press release, the warden responded to a call from a group of people who were peppered by shot gun pellets while fishing on their own property.
The caller stated their group had seen a lot of dove flying in the area.
The warden arrived at the location and met a truck leaving the property, asking the driver if he had been hunting.
