Bandera High School graduate Abram Mata has become the latest member of his family to join the U.S. military, commissioning into the U.S. Navy on September 30, 2024.Mata, the youngest of four siblings, joins his brothers Antonio and Maximillian, both U.S. Marines, and his sister Sunnie, a U.S. Army service member.Mata’s parents, John and Sylvia Mata of Bandera, expressed both pride and concern for their son’s decision to serve.“What a sacrifice and honor...
