Mel Dugosh of Tarpley has completed two quilts, one for her sister-in-law Elenora Dugosh Goodley and the other in honor of former First Lady Bird Johnson, that are being prepared for display at the Frontier Times Museum in Bandera.
Dugosh completed the quilt entitled “Elenora” to honor the Polish traditions in her husband’s family and the work of her sister-in-law to promote the history of Polish settlers in the Bandera area. She gave it to Goodley as a gift.
Goodley in turn has loaned the quilt to the museum, which is planning to feature it in a display the museum’s director is ...
