The Bobcat boys basketball team lassoed a strong win against the D’Hanis Cowboys in the first district game of the 2020-21 season and the start of the race for a place in the playoffs.
Medina overpowered D’Hanis on the road by building a 16-point lead in the first half.
The Cowboys’ comeback effort was blunted in the second half, allowing the Bobcats to capture their first district game of the year on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
Medina’s 46-39 win makes the team 4-5 for the year and 1-0 in the district.
Zach Bryant hit some big three-point shots down the stretch to secure the victory.
