Saturday, September 12, with temperatures in the 70’s and very little breeze, was the perfect day for the Bandera Invitational Cross Country Meet at Bandera City Park.
First up was the varsity girls race. Bandera High School medaled in six out of nine places in the race. Juniors Hannah Edwards and Raleynn Butler came in first and second, while Morgan Cole finished fourth.
Freshman Trinity Butler placed 11th, while another freshman, Makayla Gonzales, placed 16th. Sophomore Danielle Gonzales placed 20th, and freshman Gracie Bankston rounded out the Bulldog varsity squad, placing 21st.
That allowed the Lady Bulldogs to claim the meet’s gold medal,
