The Medina Astronomy Club will meet at the Medina Community Library on Thursday, Sept. 24, to examine variable stars called Cephoids and how they are used to measure distance in the universe, officials said.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the new building at the library, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Also on Thursday, the library will host a homeschooling meeting at 6 p.m.
The Medina Wordsmith Writing Club is set to meet at the library on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 3:30 p.m.
