Read moreMedina Ladycat Softball players Addie Derry, Diana Gaona, Felicity Bryant and Loren De La Garza were honored as part of Senior Night on April 11 before the final home game of the year, which was against Johnson City. The team closed out their season on the road Monday night against the 0-8 San Saba. Results of that game were not available by the Bulletin’s deadline. The team went into Monday with a 3-13 record overall and 1-7 record in district.

Despite the loss, Coach Larry Jackson praised the team for doing their performance at the plate and for their patience waiting for pitches in the strike zone. “The Lady Cats keep learning and improving as the year progresses,” he said. “We just need to be able to fit the pieces all together at the same time.” The team would go on to lose the next four games, with their away game against Center Point being decided by one point.
Read moreThe Bandera Lady Bulldogs met the Lady Greyhounds on Tuesday at the Bulldog Softball Field. The Lady Greyhounds brought a large crowd to view the game. While the Lady Bulldogs showed a lot of spirit, they couldn’t overcome the powerful pitching and strong batting of Boerne. The Lady Greyhounds scored ten runs in the first three innings and went on to win the game with 13 runs, shutting out the Lady Bulldogs.
