Sheriff Dan Butts and EMS Director Shannon Griffin presented their February activity reports to the Commissioner’s Court at their regular meeting on March 23.Butts reported that during the month of February, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 479 calls for service and traveled 20,252 miles.Their average response time to priority calls was 11 minutes and 4 seconds.The department had reported 27 agency assists and 15 public assists. They investigated 27 property crimes and 54 crimes against persons.They had 77 animal- related calls. There were 20 dogs and one cat picked up.
