Fredrick Joseph Mansell, 83, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020. Freddy Joe was born in Houston to Leona and Fritz Mansell. After the death of his father, Leona married George Dillard. Together they raised three children, Bryan, Freddy Joe and Joyce. Freddy Joe graduated from Aldine High School in 1956, where he played football and built many long-standing relationships with friends. He was a member of the Houston Fire Department from 1958 to 1983, retiring as a senior captain, and making numerous lasting friendships at the firehouse.
